Grant Amounts Available Towards Solar Panel Installation
The Sustainable Energy Authority Of Ireland (SEAI), under a Government funded domestic solar photovoltaic (PV) scheme, is currently offering homeowner the opportunity to avail of grants up to a maximum amount of €2,100 towards the cost of supply and installation of PV solar panels.
How To Apply:
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) are currently offering home owner grants of up to €2,100 for a PV solar panel installation.
Step 1 – Choose a Registered Contractor
The contractor you choose must be a SEAI Registered contractor and be registered for the type of work that they will carry out.
Step 2 – Apply For The Grant
Make sure that you read the Application Guide before applying for your grant here and then fill out the online form
Step 3 – Accept Your Grant Offer
If you applied online you should receive your grant offer immediately. If you applied by post you should receive your grant offer within 5 working days. You then have 30 days to accept the offer. After this period you will have to re-apply.
Step 4 – Get The Works Done
You have eight months from the date of the grant offer to complete the works on your home and return the paperwork.
Pay the contractor in full or have a financing agreement in place with them.
Get a registered BER Assessor to complete your post-works BER assessment and publish your cert
Step 5 – Get Your Grant Payment
You will receive a form in the post called the Declaration of Works which is filled in by you, your registered Contractor and your BER assessor when the works and BER are completed.
